We started the process for K1 visa for my better half. Haha but the wait time is 14 months. I came back to the USA to buy us a house to live in. I’m now thinking of coming back to Thailand for the remaining K1 visa wait. I was wondering would it hurt that I have no job in USA for us when we come to the USA My retirement meets all the money requirements of the visa.
Thoughts anyone

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original post discusses starting the K1 visa application process and concerns regarding the impact of not having a job in the USA on visa approval, despite meeting financial requirements through retirement funds. Commenters caution against assuming approval, mention potential issues with not having a job, and suggest delaying significant purchases like a house until the visa is secured.

That's more of US immigration question. Based on my knowledge of the process, it could be an issue that you don't have a job. The wait time could also greatly exceed 14 months as well, that's just an estimate.
