Can DTV holders open a Thai bank account?

last year I did it Even with turist visa in Bangkok bank, but needed a address with tm 30, witch you bring to immigration with your passport and 2 photo, and Thai license. They not allow to open accounts before buying a insurance 5900 bath. That was last year and only Bangkok bank accepted this last year, but this year I heard they changed the policy. you don't need an agent you need a rental agreement or residency agreement

if you go to immigration and ask for a letter for the bank it will allow the bank to give you one
