Will it be a problem for my DTV visa application if I reside in Hua Hin but attend a cooking school in Bangkok?

I’m applying for DTV with cooking school in Bangkok but I’m going to be staying in Hua Hin. Unfortunately no schools in Hua Hin but as the classes are 1 day a month I’d travel to Bangkok for them and stay overnight. Will this be an issue for the application if the place I’m staying in is not in the same location as the school?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a DTV visa to attend a cooking school in Bangkok while residing in Hua Hin. They're concerned whether their residence location will affect their visa application, especially since the classes are infrequent (once a month). Commenters suggest that having an address mismatch may raise questions during the application process, particularly regarding the frequency of classes.

Of course, it's a problem. When I was invited to an interview in Laos, they specifically asked where I live and where my Muay Thai gym is. Since it's only a 10-minute motorbike ride away, it was accepted.

I'd be more concerned on whether the Embassy would question why the classes are only once a month?

how would they know they the classes are only one day a month

I think they normally wouldn't know, BUT if the OP shows the gym documents for Bangkok and then a lease or bookings for Hua Hin, they might ask, how do you plan to go? And then they might inadvertently disclose that information.

the classes for some cooking schools are only 1 day a month for 6 ‘months for the DTV. I think it’s very unlikely to find daily classes for the whole 6 months. Even the popular (and expensive) Bangkok academy the longest course is 4 weeks

Anonieme deelnemer I would not be to sure they will accept a cooking class for 6 lessons in 6 months for a DTV, they might also give you an METV as it is quite obvious you want to trick the system, and don't need the visa for the cooking class.

is it necessary to show a lease in Hua Hin? I mean do they ask for details of your Thai address as part of the application or is this to do with the 90 day reporting at the immigration office?

İsimsiz katılımcı hello which cooking school you apply for visa and how much money you pay ı think to apply cooking school also pls can you write me?

Participante anónimo The 90-day report is another thing. For the DTV application, they ask you to write your intended address. At first, just writing the address could suffice, but they can ask more evidence, such as lease (if it applies), or the Airbnb, hotel, etc. booking documents. Or a letter of a Thai national, if you'd be living with him/her.

I see. But I’d expect you wouldn’t book anything until you have the visa in hand and then you could book on say booking with a free cancellation then cancel it? I mean it’s all a bit nonsense because these cooking courses are all set up legitimately for the DTV. The only option they offer is 1 day a month for 6 months. It’s perfectly doable to travel into Bangkok from HH for the course.

Participante anónimo not booking anything until the visa is approved would be the logical course of action, yes. But, in my specific case, my Embassy does require you to already have booked and submit evidence of flights and accommodations.

When I applied, I booked accommodations with free cancelation (albeit the free cancelation deadline passed BEFORE they had approved the visa), but I didn't book refundable flights as they were like 3-4 times more expensive. At the end everything worked well. Mine was a remote worker route, if that matters.
