I close to early retirement.
It is only : purpose of visit
Where I want to switch from

to
B : Thai soft power Proof of confirmation to attend Thai cooking class

But I don’t know which one they mean that will count as being a participant in take cooking classes
Anyone knows if it’s just these half a day ( 4 hours) classes, is one enough or how many is required

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is applying for a Destination Thailand Visa (DTV) and facing issues with the Thai embassy in Bucharest regarding requirements for proving engagement in Thai cooking classes. They are unsure if a short, 4-hour class qualifies and seek clarification on how many classes or what specific type of certification is required. Comments emphasize the importance of checking with the specific embassy for accurate and relevant requirements, as policies can vary significantly.
so you do 1 only 4 hour cooking course and you get a 5 year DVT visa. Are you delusional no one would want a tourist visa or retirement visa if that was the requirement. So that's what you have done you have enrolled in 4 hour cooking course and have the 5 year DVT visa
The only people who can answer that question is the embassy. Each embassy sets their own requirements, so what anyone else has done doesn't matter because you're not using the same embassy as them. But many embassies are requiring much more than a 4 hour course. You can do that with a tourist visa.
Some embassies requires 1-2 weeks, some require 1 month, 3 months or 6 months. It's up to the embassy.
