ORIGINAL POSTERA friend of mine tried to do his TM30 via the mobile app. He has been waiting 2 weeks for the clearance. He needs to re new his work permit next week so will immigration accept a screen shot from his phone that reads Check Status, or not? Thank you.

They are not waiting for clearance, they are waiting to get approval to USE the online system. have them go in to the online we-based portal and check the status of their application;
AND remember, just registering to USE the online system does NOT file a TM30.. They will need to file a TM30 on their own BEFORE they can get their extension.

you didn't show your TM30 to renew your work permit at the Ministry of Labour. You showed it to get an extension at the immigration office ;)

To apply for an extension of the work permit from the ministry of labor has nothing to do with the Extension of Stay or the address registration needed at the Royal Thai Police Immigration Bureau. You mix up requirements from two total different Government agencies.

Why would he go to Immigration? If he want to extend his Work Permit he better visit the Ministry of Labor, who are responsible for work permits.
