Hi, I'm asking for a relative who wants to travel from UK to Thailand for 60-90days holiday. He's 81years old, what travel insurance options are available out there that meet the covid coverage requirements for the new Thailand Pass ? Also, is it still possible now, to enter on a tourist visa or 30day no-visa permission to stay, and then change to a non-O retirement visa once in Thailand? He's considering doing this. Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquired about travel insurance covering COVID-19 for an 81-year-old traveling from the UK to Thailand for 60-90 days, as well as visa options. Suggestions for insurance included AXA Thailand. Community members confirmed that it is possible to enter Thailand on a 30-day exemption or a 60-day tourist visa, and then transition to a Non-O visa for retirement, which allows for a one-year extension. Important preparations like meeting financial requirements for the visa conversion were also mentioned.

Yes, he can enter with the 30 day exemption, then apply for a Non-O here, that gives him 90 days to prepare for the one year extension based on retirement. Check the options here...
Yes you can convert to O extension based on retirement in country. Remember he needs time to seed cash in Bank etc. Enter on 60 day tourist. Get 90 day O then 12 month O
