TLDR : Answer Summary
Changing your re-entry date from October 12 to October 13 should not be a problem as long as you enter Thailand before the expiration date of your re-entry permit. It is important to ensure that your entry is stamped in before the permit's expiration date.
Graham *******
your re-entry stamp has a "valid till date" and that is the 3 days before your entry stamp expies! Do not undestand why u ask!
Graham ******
@Graham ******
the re-entry permit and the current admitted until dates will be the same (not 3 days before)
Graham *******
@Graham *****
maybe, but there was a 3 day difference on my last re-entry permit!

@Graham ******
so just your one time

experience is sufficient for a good advice ?

that means the person who issued your re-entry permit made a mistake

@Bob ******
read all of your stamps for dates and do not let anything expire, will be very costly in canceled visas and refused re-entry!

@Bob ******
you're ok to re-enter any date up to your expiry in February

Not an issue. As long as you enter before the current date you’re stamped in to you’ll be fine.

@Bob ******
yes your “allowed to stay” until stamp. The re-entry permit is valid until then.
