Will a visa run in Vietnam affect my DTV application approval for Thailand?

I have made over 20+ DTV applications, only one has been rejected due to a water damaged passport.. Everyone else has never taken more than 12-15 working days.

You can be in thailand on tourist stamp when you recieve dtv by email. Unless they ask for interview.

You can go to the Vietnam immigration office and extend your visa. I did it when I needed to stay in Vietnam for a longer time.

Just do the visa run and you will be fine

How many days so far has your visa under review? In the meantime did they ask any additional documents? Mine was 13days under review without additional documents needed and 14th day I sent them email requesting to get some update, they asked for my visa in Vietnam which will expire the next day. Later the same day I got approved.

It could if they ask for copies of the pages of your passport and see a new stamp. But you gotta do what you gotta do to not run afoul Vietnamese laws. If you do have to border bounce, try to go one of the walk across and back trips. If they do ask for copies of your passport, include a cover letter acknowledging the situation and explaining you did not want to violate Vietnam's vusa laws as you would never want to violate Thailand's. Put some real sugar coating on it.

Not going to effect your DTV. How would they know of you do a visa run in between. Not that you have a choice anyways. Your current host countries rules beat any potential Thai embassies „requirements“.
