I applied for a visa (and i get it - multiple entry tourist visa), but I won't be entering the country when I originally planned (both the date and the entry airport will change). Will this cause any issues? Should i apply for a new visa?

thank you

TLDR : Answer Summary
Changing your entry date and airport for a multiple entry tourist visa (METV) will not cause any issues, as long as you enter Thailand within the six-month validity period of the visa after its issuance. The only impact of delaying your entrance is that it reduces the total time available to use the METV.

Hope this helps you understand the METV multiple entry tourist visa. We wish you success in obtaining it.

The METV is a fine choice for those who wish to stay in Thailand and visit neighbor SE Asia countries over a Max of 9 months.

Safe travels ๐Ÿ‘

The date and entry airport for your Visa is not a concern.

What is Most important is when you use the METV multiple entry tourist visa to enter Thailand.

The METV is issued and valid for Entry into Thailand for 6 months FROM THE DATE THE METV IS ISSUED.

So if you delay your Entry into Thailand, that Only lessens the total time you can use the METV.

Again...the METV multiple entry tourist visa is valid for Entry into Thailand a total of 6 months FROM THE DATE IT IS ISSUED.

So planning your time to get it and use it is important to be able to get the maximum benefit of the METV, which is Up to 9 months stay in Thailand with a couple of Land BORDER BOUNCES or by air โœˆ๏ธ.
