I have a new extension of stay based on retirement,so I'm in the first 90 days period after a new extension. Because of an error at the bank yesterday I went under the amount of 800000 Baht. They immediately corrected their mistake, I explained to them that I can't go below that amount. I asked for a statement on paper to give this to immigration but after a phone call to their head office they said that it would not be a problem. Anyone with experience with this?Thanks.

They have received confirmation from the bank that it was an error and their balance has been corrected. You answered your own question, you said you talked with them and they said it wouldn't be a problem.

you make it seem like the balance was back at 800k baht the same day that it when down below it, so that shouldn't cause a problem

The real question is, when you got your year extension did the immigration office give you a paper that told you to update your bank book and come back in 3 months time?

IF the answer is yes, then you will find out if it was a problem or not when you go on that date

IF the answer is no, then you won't find out if it was a problem until next year when you have to bring in a whole year of bank history to get your next extension

"the balance was back at 800k baht the same day that it when down below it" Yes,immediately.The woman in the bank had misread a number.She immediately refunded an amount, but of course you can see in my bank book that I have gone below the amount of 800k.

@Sam****
you shouldn't have a problem then.

When you got your yearly extension issued at your immigration office were you given a paper like this?

That's what the immigration offices who were having people come back in 3 months from their extension to show they still had the 800K baht in the bank were getting

No, no paper. But they're just asking that you show an update on your next 90-day report.
