TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses concerns about a retirement visa extension due to a recent bank withdrawal by the user's husband. To qualify for the visa extension, it's important to maintain a minimum bank balance, typically 400K baht, if the funds were used for the visa extension process. Comments suggest that withdrawing and redepositing money could potentially violate this requirement, advising the user to consult with immigration directly for clarity.

When we inquired with immigration how to combine tow bank accounts to one they told us it has to be done the same day, withdrawal and reposting otherwise the 400K minimum was violated.

If your husband had an extension from last year that he got by using banked money method (having the 800K baht in the bank) he needed to KEEP at least 400K baht in the bank at all times. I'd say take your bank book and your husband and go to the immigration office and ask them.

Maybe it depends on your IO, but in my experience YES.

I went under by about 50฿ in 800,000฿ for a few minutes once and had to start again.

GO to your immigration office and get the hand out listing the requirements that you need to get the year extension based on retirement AND while you're there show them your bank book where the balance went down below what you needed.
