wholy moly i just noticed something and now i don't know if i should apply for DTV or not ...

i work in IT, have a company and am on B2B contract. I have the same one and only client for past 2 years.

all my invoices to them have a mistake, there's a digit missing in their Tax number on the invoice.

they paid every invoice, that's not the problem and i've only noticed it recently. they apparently haven't noticed it at any point.

i've corrected the mistake and my future invoices will be correct.

but, if i upload past invoices in my visa application, what are the chances they notice this and deny it because of this??

hot giggity dam

well maybe next year

:facepalm

EDIT: Ok thank you all for reassurance, am relieved and will continue with the application.

Thanks again

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user expressed concern about applying for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) due to an error in the tax number on past invoices to their long-term client. They were reassured by community comments that this error is unlikely to affect their application and encouraged to proceed with the application while potentially explaining the mistake briefly.

Maybe it’s better to explain this quickly in your application, just in case.

I changed my name a few years ago, but all my invoices and company details are on my old name because it’s too complicated to make the administrative change in my country. I explained this in my application and got approved.

You are overthinking it. These submissions are a representation of your business. To give people actual tax numbers would be against data protection anyway.

That won't affect your application. Quite frankly, none of my clients have tax numbers on invoices.

I got approved just fine.

I don’t think that will affect your application. I applied as a freelancer, and maybe I just got lucky—I didn’t even submit business/registration papers or invoices. I only provided a one-page PDF with links to my website and portfolio. Somehow, that was enough to prove I’m a legit freelancer.

Stop overthinking, it won’t matter in the slightest

Anonymous participant 983 overthinking is good when you deal with bureaucracy. He is right to ask those questions. Some country would scrutinize more but based on my experience applying for visa in Thailand and what I have read so far, I would apply and not worry about this for now.

you’re right. I myself have a tendency to overthink these things quite a bit but in this case it really won’t matter.

Should be not a problem they just want to see that you have a legitimate business
