Is it possible to obtain a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) in Thailand after working there under a Non-B visa?

Hi all,

This group is very helpful!

Maybe some of you can help my last doubts. I have all required documents.

Been working here under a non visa b and work permit since May 2023. Now since almost 2 months on tourist visa after I resigned.

I work remote for a company in the US and want to fly to HCM upcoming week to try to get the DTV.

1 Would it be an issue showing the 500.000 on my Thai bank? Or should I transfer to a foreigner account? Or a platform like wise? Both would be with a low to none activity history compared to My Thai bank which is a lot healthier.

2 do you see any issues with the fact I’m already in thailand for 1.5 year with a work permit

Thank you in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
The individual is currently on a tourist visa in Thailand after having worked under a Non-B visa and work permit for 1.5 years. They are preparing to apply for a Digital Nomad Visa (DTV) and are concerned about their bank account balance and previous work history impacting their application. Comments from the community suggest that having a healthy bank account in Thailand is acceptable and that previous work experience may pose a risk to the application, with one agent indicating it could lead to denial.

I inquired an agent who can deal with DTV visa, they said if you have ever worked in Thailand within a year, they would refuse me. So might be a little risky.
