TLDR : Answer Summary
The entry requirement for Thailand states that a COVID-19 test must be taken within 72 hours before the flight departure, not arrival. Most commenters confirm that having a test result expire 5 hours before landing should not be a problem as long as it was issued within the required timeframe before the first departure.

100p cent wrong The 72 hours means from the time the covid19 result is issued. Then u have up to 72 hours to your flight departs.QED.
Some airlines allow the 72 hours to be from check in but to be safe allow for departure time.If the flight departs late it is not your problem.

You'll be fine. Just avoid the fitness centre at your quarantine hotel

No problem, as you get tested when you get here about three more times. Once at the airport, and twice in quarantine.

No will not be an issue

Most countries require a covid test a set number of hours BEFORE DEPARTURE. A few places require it timed before ARRIVAL (Thailand isn't one of those).
Paul *******
The 72 hours is before you board first flight so should be fine.

It’s only to get you on the flight unless your country has different rules but shouldn’t
