TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a recent incident at Jomtien Immigration where a sign was reportedly removed. Comments reveal that the sign's content was considered unofficial until it is published in the royal gazette. Users express confusion over the status of the information, with some insisting that nothing is official until that publication occurs. The conversation indicates frustration among expats regarding clarity and communication from immigration authorities.

I think this post is inaccurate.

When I was there earlier this week.. This sign was outside.

If you go inside there is a sign, similar but not the same, with dates still intact. (see my other post)

No body is removing wording and such. They are different signs at different locations (inside/outside).

This is Thailand after-all.. If they wanted to change the wording - they would just tape over it -- not replace the whole sign

And my comment was 3 days old.

James Charlesworth -- I agree 100%__ I understand frustrations and uncertainties for everyone. Including myself! But I keep seeing some of the same names, and some new ones posting and popping up with either snide, unhelpful, unfair, derogatory, divisive, comments over and over and also some of the same people in different facebook groups as well. Please chill. Nothing good or constructive to say!!!! Please think and do not bother posting it! My personal thanks to all who continue to answer genuine questions and sooth worried minds ( sometimes repeatedly the same questions). Stay safe everyone. Cheers Mark

I think everyone should get in touch with politics and law here, this isnt the west. It will passed when it is signed and posted in the royal gazette. I dont want to repeat my self so much.

Please keep checking and wait.

Like i said in the beginning the 30th of april was just a waiting period until they figured out actually what to do.

Please refrain from posting the same stuff.

its not the west, its the wild west. Although they did make a sign before its even fully announced. Classic thailand.

nope just a pic of the sign which is now there. I posted it, because yesterday somebody posted the same sign but with date. I do understand Immigration was a bit too hasty with that. First it has to be official, like

no, it jusnt isnt official until its posted in the royal gazette, so immigration offices are being told to wait.

it was the same last time, its not official until it is published in the royal gazette.
James **************
Its been removed because it isnt official. It will only be official when it is signed and published in the royal gazette. It is correct, but no one not even immigration offices can post it until its published in the royal gazette.

This is an excellent poster. Keeps the message simple. Makes it difficult to create unnecessary confusion.

This is the sign outside the immigration office. The sign inside the immigration office is a little different. I have pictures of both. I posted the one the immigration officer pointed to (inside)

Except this is inaccurate.
