Expats in Thailand face significant challenges when dealing with visa extensions, particularly in light of the ongoing emergency decrees. Many are frustrated with the bureaucratic process and feel that local authorities are incompetent in handling their needs. Some expats, like a commenter who recently extended their daughter's tourist visa, note the difficulty of navigating the system. Concerns are raised about the Thai government pushing foreigners to return to their home countries, amidst feelings of dissatisfaction with the treatment and hurdles present for those who contribute to the local economy.
When we require something they send back the message we are looking into it. They are looking into a manhole and extracting any shit that pumps out. Where is the signature from the precious cabinet? Where is the amendment signed into law. I'm in rural Thailand and my office is splendid to date. I just get wound up at the unfortunate plight of fellow expats and tourists who insert handsomely into the economy and try to get on with it. It's not racist or sectioning us out they are just 100% incompetent.
An emergency decree!!!
