TLDR : Answer Summary
The Chonburi immigration advised that a visa stamp should be obtained by 30 May. One commenter suggests using an embassy letter for a stamp indicating inability to travel due to COVID-19. Another commenter shared their friend's experience of receiving varying stamps and discussed the current amnesty conditions, indicating that the friend may be covered until the end of July.

those stamps are kinda screwy, he went on the 18th of March and got an "under consideration stamp" that told him to go BACK on 7th,

BUT

he went back on the 8th and then got the final stamp good until the 19th and that is an extension stamp NOT an under consideration stamp.

HE should be GOOD and covered on this current amnesty until no longer than the 31st of July without going back.

Why did he have his gf call? I doubt she knows anything about visas :O
