Can anyone please confirm if it necessary to visit immigration if you are currently under the tourist amnesty to get a free stamp in your passport up to the 26th Sept as a necessary step prior to securing any other future visa? Am reading mixed things. Thank you 🙏🏻

and what "future visa" are you intending to apply for? There are few reports of them handing out that "go from no stamp amnesty to a stamped extension until the 26th" unless you're ready to apply for an in country visa

Not normally. However, I attempted to purchase visa the confusing week before the amnesty announcement.

I wasn’t away until later that I didn’t receive full visa but was ‘under consideration’ (written in Thai) in my passport. So needed to fix that first for my retirement Visa Application

as a rule IF you apply for an in country Non-Imm visa it says "under consideration" right on the stamp in your passport (in english) under the name of the immigration office

I’m really curious about theses questions. If your good to go on the amnesty thing until 26 September why would someone need a stamp up to the same date.

Not needed. once you leave your period of stay inside Thailand get closed and you can apply again for a new visa at a Thai Consulate if you like to return to Thailand.
