Why am I not finding information about medical or dental visas in this group?

Why am I not finding results in this group searching for „medical“ or „medical dtv“?

Has really nobody in this group chosen this route?

It seems pretty straightforward, especially if you need something done anyway, like dental work.

Or am I missing something?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is struggling to find results related to 'medical' or 'medical dtv' in the group, wondering if nobody has taken this route. According to comments, many have successfully used medical options for visa purposes, particularly for long-term treatments requiring a signed plan from a Thai doctor. It's noted that dental procedures are more commonly accepted than routine visits, and some members mentioned existing discussions on the topic.

It must be a long-term treatment plan or they will just tell you to get a Non-O based on medical treatment

Many people have, and reported on doing it. It requires meeting with your Thai medical doctor, and getting a long term treatment plan written, and signed by them. You can't do it by just making an appointment.

thanks! Searching for „dental“ actually gives me results but „medical“ did not although there are many posts. Strange. Thanks for your answer!

Yes people do use this route, but clearly it applies to dental procedures like implants, orthodontics though routine cleanings or checkups typically do not.
