I appreciate the DTV is still in its infancy, but I wondered if anyone has had experience, or heard from others about the soft power options for medical treatment. I’m wondering if Aesthetic clinics ( some are directly connected to hospitals) are a valid option if you are to book treatments in advance and provide the confirmation?
TIA

TLDR : Answer Summary
The discussion revolves around the viability of using aesthetic clinics in Thailand for obtaining medical visas. Opinions vary, with some asserting that aesthetic treatments may not be recognized as valid medical treatments for the visa application process. However, others provide anecdotal evidence of successful applications related to aesthetic procedures, suggesting that individual embassy policies play a crucial role in the approval of such medical treatments as part of visa applications.
That’s a direct answer. Please enlighten me to exactly what medical treatments people travel to Thailand for. Aesthetic clinics provide health treatments such as vit b12 infusions and also surgery, therefore ‘medical treatment’ 🤔
That's completely up to the embassy that you apply through. They set the requirements and they process the application. If they accept it then it's possible. If they do not then it's not possible.
