Hi, which immigration office do I attend in Chaing Mai to extend my 60 day visa? Does it matter I arrived in Bangkok? Can I just turn up and extend it? Thanks in advance. ๐Ÿ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
To extend your 60-day visa in Chiang Mai, you can walk into either immigration office. It does not matter that you arrived in Bangkok. However, you must have a TM30 receipt with an address in the Chiang Mai service area to complete the application.

You can go as walk-in to either office in Chiang Mai to apply for a tourism extension. The entry point doesn't matter. You need to have a TM30 receipt with an address in Chiang Mai office serving area to apply in Chiang Mai.

, that is "NOTIFICATION FROM FOR HOUSE-MASTER, OWNER OR THE POSSESSOR OF THE RESIDENCE WHERE ALIEN HASSTAYED", or Notification of residence for foreigners. Your landlord or hotel is supposed to submit it with TM.30 form for you and give you a receipt.
