Hi,

my wife wants to apply for a Tourist E-Visa.

She is originally Chinese but with German passport.

Actually she visites her parents in China and wants to travel to Thailand fromm there.

My question is: Where does she have to apply for the E-Visa? In China or in Germany?

"enters on a British passport" so yes (or enter Visa Exempt) but she can get a 12 month extension for 1900B as being a "former Thai"

If she holding a German passport then she just enter Thailand with visa exemption 30 days and extend once at nearby immigration office for 30 days so that’s total of 60 days in Thailand.

we wanted to make everything clear before the Journey and additionally have the option to extend the 60 days for another 30.

if you need more than 60 days then she can apply online for an E-Visa. Someone already post the link for it. And here is the step by step guide for the process

You can only apply where you are physically. So if she's in Germany she would apply through Germany. If she's in China she would apply through china.

But keep in mind most embassies will require you to show a plane ticket from the country you are applying through to Thailand. So if she's not going from Germany to Thailand, they might reject a visa application since she can't show a plane ticket from Germany to Thailand.
