TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation revolves around the best location to extend a tourist visa in Thailand, specifically comparing Chaengwattana and Muang Thong Thani. Users share their experiences, indicating both locations can facilitate visa extensions. One user successfully extended their visa at Muang Thong Thani after entering on a visa-exempt stamp, while another extended their tourist visa at Chaengwattana by making an appointment online and completing the necessary documentation, including photocopying their passport and filling out the TM7 form.

I just extended my tourist visa at Chaengwattana office yesterday.

I booked my schedule online and to extend its at Counter J. I only photocopy my passport, and fill in TM7 prior to arrival. That’s all required.

did they ask for your TM 30?

Being asked for the TM30 is hit-or-miss for Changwattana or MuangThongThani.

All immigration offices require the same thing for a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism:

1. The applicant’s passport and a copy of:

a. The data “picture” page.

b. The most recent visa (if applicable).

c. All entry stamps or extension of stay (if applicable) since arrival.

d. The departure card (“TM 6”) that should be stapled in the passport.

2. The extension of stay application form (“TM 7”).

3. A copy of the submitted Notification of Residence of Foreigners form ("TM 30”).

4. 2x passport sized (4cm by 6cm) photos.

5. 1,900 THB processing fee.

Did you enter on:

- A 30 day visa exempt (stamped "ผ" in the passport)

- A bilateral agreement (stamped "ผผ" in the passport)

- A visa on arrival (that's good for 15 days)

- Tourist visa?
