TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a non-criminal record in Bangkok, you can apply at the Police Clearance Service Center. The service operates from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday. The entire process can take up to 30 days. You will need to provide your passport and potentially a work permit, along with a fee. Some mention that embassies might also assist in this process.
You need one if you are getting paperwork for an ED visa from one of the schools in the south of thailand, (Division 6).

It's weird, my language school says I need one. The visa application checklist says I only need it for a degree program (which it is not). I am just nervous about going all the way to KL without it if I do need it. :/

Was this for an Ed Visa application? I am so confused about the conflicting info I am seeing online about this right now!
