Hello all and thank you in advance if you are able to help.

I am applying for an initial single entry 90-day non-immigrant B visa from the UK to work at a Thai university.

Will I need to book a return flight or can I apply with a single ticket to Bangkok?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When applying for a single entry 90-day non-immigrant B visa from the UK to work at a Thai university, you can apply with a one-way ticket. Immigration officers are aware that individuals entering Thailand on a Non-B visa often aim for long-term employment and that booking return flights far in advance is not common.

You can apply for a one way flight into Thailand. The immigration officers know that most people who enter on a Non-B get a one year extension of stay based on employment, and most airlines do not allow a person to book one year in advance.
