TLDR : Answer Summary
To obtain a 30-day extension of your visa exempt entry while in Bangkok, you should go to the Thai Immigration office located in I.T. Square. It is important to have a printed TM30 address registration, as a screenshot may not be accepted. The extension generally costs 1,900 Thai baht.

As you ENTERED as Visa Exempt Entry...

To get the 30 day extension of your stay and you are in Bangkok...

You go to the I.T. Square Thai Immigration office

These are the common found requirements for the 30 day extension

1,900 Thai baht, be sure to have a TM30 address registration on file with Thai Immigration.

Go to IT square and have the TM30 printed, otherwise they won’t even let you to the waiting area and you would have wasted time in the queue
