TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are traveling to Thailand on January 17th at 12:15 PM, you should take your COVID test on Thursday, January 14th, after 12:15 PM. It's important to ensure that the timing aligns with the testing and result requirements set by authorities, as the focus is on receiving the test results within a permissible timeframe before your flight.

You need to get the test results after Thursday 12:15, if they tell you 48-72 hours for results you should do the test Wednesday. If they tell you less then 24 or 48 then Thursday is fine.

Doesn’t matter when you get tested. Matters when you get results.

What do think yourself, it's your own responsibility, don't listen to others if you get tested too early, they won't let you fly

5.2 FtF no longer than 72 hours

5.3 RT-PCR TESTED within 72 hours

Maby your English is different then my English, but my English is the same English the Thai Embassy use. Tested means the day the swab is taken and the resultdate Don't call me a liar

that specifically states the medical certificate (in english) affirming a negative result of Corona (Covid-19) (cuts off here) PCR Tested within 72 hours. ie. the medical certificate needs to be issued within the 72 hours of the flight. not the test!!!! this has been discussed over and over again on multiple threads in different groups.

The Test RESULTS must be issued within 72 hours of the flight, along with the F2F Certificate.

The test does not need to be taken within 72 hours. some places can't issue tests and results within 72 hours!!!

Wrong, the time from the swab is the time the 72 hour start

the 72 hour period starts from the first flight listed on your COE! The results and F2F must be issued within the 72 hours prior to this flight. The covid test can be taken anytime as long as the results are within that 72 hour period.

sure, succes with boarding. ps if your ftf or covid-19 test are older than 72 hour, even if it's 15 min. you not fly and no refund from ticket, hotel

exactly. which is why the 72 hour time frame starts from the departure of your first flight listed on your COE, if it is older it is no good. Not sure you read my comment correctly.

I read correct, The covid test can be taken anytime as long as the results are within that 72 hour period. you say like this that you can take swab 1 week before and that is no problem as long the certificate and result date are within 72 hours. That mean that can infected 7 days after the swab time instead 3 days. Make this any sence to you????? Not for me. From first flight yoy right, but that was not the case or qustion

some labs are so backed up that it is taking a long time to get the results. Thailand is only concerned as to when the results are reported. so yes while it is a cause for concern that a swab could be taken a week before the flight, if the results are issued within the 72 hours of the 1st flight on the COE, thailand will accept them.

why are you so strongly giving false information? This isn’t something that is in question. It starts from when the results are issued. And what in the world does showing your negative test have to do with anything?

do it youre way, absolute NO problem for me if you count from issued time, it's not me that can not fly, I already here, because I take the 72 hour from swab time. But don't listen to me, but call the embassy, I did that too

yes I’m here as well. I did not take my test within 72 hours of flight. But I’m not going to argue about it.

it has nothing to do when the swab is taken. it has everything to do when the results are given (provided the results have a date (and time))

thats good news. but you posted an image (your results) without stating when your flight was. so it means nothing to the OP for time frames required
