Arrived at DMK around 7 PM yesterday. The airport was as dead as I have seen it in recent years. Therefore no waiting at immigration. It took only a couple of minutes. This was my fifth entry into Thailand on visa exempt within a year. My stays have only been a couple of weeks at a time.
Answer summary
A user shared their experience arriving at DMK airport during the low season, noting quick processing through immigration with minimal waiting. This marks their fifth entry into Thailand on a visa exempt program, typically staying for a couple of weeks at a time. Comments highlight a generally low tourist presence at airports, with discussions on travel to neighboring countries and reflections on immigration procedures.

I just flew in/out of BKK & it wasn’t busy either. Definitely rainy season. I was flying domestically so I didn’t have to deal with Immigration, however I’m getting ready to fly to Vietnam & will compare the lines at that time.

The secret is “you always go home” .

I did this for over 12 years and only twice was I very politely asked why I visited so often.

Perfect time to see the neighboring nations. Malaysia is alright. But Vietnam is awesome. A week here and week there. Love it.

Last week I was flying out from Suvarnabhumi airport at around 9 pm … immigration officers were watching reels on their phones …. Not a single tourist was at the immigration counter… I stood there for a minute … then an officer saw me and i got thru the immigration… I believe it’s the low season

Flying OUT? Why stand there at all? Scan your passport at the auto-gate and go.
