Heres the latest information for Thai wife extension in Hua hin when I visited recently.

On this form there are items required Id like to confirm ?

No 3)We are going to get the KorRor2,it also lists the KorRor 22 which ive never heard of before where do we get that?

No 6)Certificate of changing surname (if applicable),does this apply?

Lastly No13)

Id like to use a a close friend who doesn't live in the same town as my extension adress as she works close to the immigration office and is a govt employee of rank.Or do I need a witness from my town?

Thanks and happy New year to all for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation provides clarity on the requirements for obtaining the Thai wife extension in Hua Hin. Key points include: 1) If married in Thailand, you need the KorRor2 from the district office, while the KorRor22 is only necessary if the marriage occurred outside Thailand. 2) If a change of surname has taken place, a certificate is needed if applicable. 3) The witness requirement allows for a person from outside the town as long as they can provide the necessary identification and house registration. The discussion also highlights variations in immigration practices.

1.) if anyone was married inside Thailand (Thai Marriage Certificate), then you need to get a Fresh Copy of KhorRor.2 ( คร.2 ) from any District Office (Amphur/Khet Office), or:

2.) if anyone was married outside Thailand (Foreign Marriage Certificate), then you need to get a Fresh Copy of KhorRor.22 ( คร.22 ) from any District Office (Amphur/Khet Office)

Let's simplify this.

*** If you were married OUTSIDE Thailand, then yes, you need to get your marriage legalized through your embassy and then MfA in Thailand before you can go to amphur and get a kor ror 22, because it doesn't apply to marriage done inside Thailand.

*** If you married INSIDE Thailand, you will never need, and can never get, a kor ror 22.

*** On the other hand, if you married OUTSIDE Thailand, you cannot get a kor ror 2, because you need a kor ror 22 for marriage registration from abroad.

But let’s assume that the marriage was done INSIDE Thailand.

In that case all you need is for your Thai spouse go to the Amphur with their ID card to obtain a kor ror 2, which is the regular marriage registration document for marriage INSIDE Thailand. Cost is 20 Baht. No need to legalize at an embassy or MfA for use inside Thailand.

The original rose border marriage certificate you got when you got married INSIDE Thailand is a kor ror 3. Immigration does not accept it as proof of a still existing marriage, because theoretically you could already be divorced and use a long invalid Marriage Certificate as proof.

If you married inside Thailand you need a kor ror 2.

22 is not for you then.

yep correct, if married outside of Thailand Amphur still considers your wife single untill Embassy and Internsl Affairs say so, then once registered at local Amphur , all becomes easy to get the required letter.

it's not a form you complete. It's a list of the requirements for an extension of stay based on having a Thai wife issued by his local immigration office. If you don't use the same office ignore it

Get the new Kor Ror 2 issued at an Amphur for 20 baht

The Kor Ror 22 is if you were married outside of thailand and then registered the marriage of a thai abroad at the Amphur, <- meaning if you can get the Kor Ror 2 you were married inside thailand not abroad so there is no Kor Ror 22 for you

I would imagine you could use who ever you want for the witness, just have her thai i/d and house book listing

That last one (the witness) you should have asked the immigration officer while you were getting that paper from them if it'd work or not.. I honestly don't know, you could post on a Hua Hin group and ask
