Well actually, I’ve made this post because I’ve been seeing a lot of “required” docs and stuff like having 20k worth of money, return tickets etc. THAT’S the reason why I post it. It’s ok to just skip it if you think it’s unrelated to you. It’s all good. Peace
LavenderDragon2515 20k thb is true, for all tourist visas, its been the rule for years and years now they are enforcing it a bit more, its been all over the news... return (onward, not return) tickets also correct, but not for DTV
Anonymous participant 530 DTV application worries, questions upon entry/reentry, denied entry, claims that you need to show 500,000 THB in your bank account, prove ongoing employment or current enrolment on qualifying courses for the five year duration is the work of our troll(s). How did digital nomads manage in Thailand prior to July 2024? Families don't relocate in anticipation of being granted a DTV. They obtain it first. If worried about the possibility of rejection then apply via a visa agent who guarantees success or the whole of your money back. If you don't qualify go elsewhere.
YUZA Dear YUZA - please reconsider your comments and try to be helpful. I would guess that a few people with a poor sense of humour might make up stories about visa applications. But most of them are genuine, and rejections are causing people real distress and disruption to their lives. Affecting their finances; separating them from their families. Serious life stuff.
Even if you don't believe that, why do you feel the need to spread negativity? Please stop it. It's 2026, and the online world is changing for the better. Time to grow up.
