I wonder if anyone has any insight - my friend is due to go to Bali with his paperwork to get an education visa from the Thai consulate there. His current extension expires on 3 April and as yet he hasn't received his paperwork. Should it not come by 3 April does he any other choice than to leave Thailand? If the consulate closes in Bali does he need to find an alternative place to apply from? Many thanks.

Answer summary

A user's friend is waiting for education visa paperwork from a Thai consulate in Bali, with an expiration date on April 3rd. If the paperwork does not arrive in time, he will need to leave Thailand before his current visa expires. If the consulate in Bali is closed, the school sponsoring his visa can find an alternative consulate and will need to write a letter requesting the visa.

I saw you asked the last person who posted the comment about not being able to go to Bali: just saw this about Indonesia

If he does not get the paperwork, he must leave Thailand when his entry stamp expires.

The school will find the alternative place; the school must write a letter to the consulate requesting the visa.
