Hi bit of a specific one but worth a shot. My friend is a teacher, offered a better job at another international school in a different province starts August 15th , she is leaving her current school 31st July. She has a WP and extension to stay till August 12th based on her job. However, she won't be leaving her current job on good terms. If she goes she isn't sure her current school will provide the documents needed to help with visa and WP in time to tranfer to her new school. I believe after quitting there's only about 7 days to sort everything out? As it's impossible to a visa run out of Thailand now it seems risky! Does she have any options to avoid having to leave the country if her current school don't help the new school with visa and WP requirements? Thanks
TLDR : Answer Summary
The situation involves a teacher who is transitioning between international schools and faces challenges with her Work Permit (WP) and visa extension. Upon leaving her current job, her school may not provide necessary documents for the transfer, which complicates her ability to successfully manage her visa situation without leaving Thailand. Commenters emphasized the importance of cooperation between both schools and relevant authorities to facilitate the transfer; otherwise, international border runs may be necessary.
