TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses a recent experience of extending a stay in Thailand for 180 days by taking a brief trip to Malaysia. The author describes their hassle-free interaction with immigration, and the comments touch on general experiences with long-term visas, visa exemptions, required 90-day reporting, potential changes in immigration policies, and inquiries about visa requirements for entering Malaysia.

Don’t forget your 90 days reporting which you have to do in the middle of your 180 days. Has to be in person at your local immigration office
