Hello! I have my first 90-day reporting next week, and was hoping for some quick advice. These may be simple basic questions for a lot of you, so please forgive me as this is all new to me. Also, this is specifically in Chiang Mai, if that makes a difference in the answers.

Do we need to go specifically on the date listed, or can you go a couple days before?

How long does it usually take? Should I expect to be stuck there all day, or is it in/out quickly?

Is there anything specific you need to bring aside from your passport?

Any other advice or comments welcome. Thank you ๐Ÿ™‚

TLDR : Answer Summary
For your first 90-day reporting in Chiang Mai, you can report your presence between 15 days prior to and 7 days after your due date. The process is generally quick, taking about 10-15 minutes, depending on queues, but it's advisable to check in local groups for current wait times. You will need your passport, and it's helpful to bring additional documents such as a copy of your lease, landlord's ID, a receipt from your accommodation, and ensure your arrival card (TM6) is in your passport. A completed TM47 form will also make the process smoother.

I went to Promenada Mall last week a little after 1pm. I had TM 47 already filled out, handed it and passport to man checking out front, then directed to lady at desk inside. In and out in a few minutes.

You just need your passport these days if reporting in person. If it is your first time might be worth bringing a copy of your lease agreement/ landlords ID/copy of housebook or a recent receipt from your accomodation provider. Make sure your arrival card is in your passport (TM6) and if you have it, your TM30 receipt. It is ordinarily a 10-15 minute undertaking in Chiang Mai

You can do the 90 day report between 15 days prior and 7 days after the due date.

>How long does it usually take?

It should be quick, but it depends on the lines. Ask in a Chang Mai group for more information.
