Id like to apply for my Tax Id Number (TIN) to withdraw my salary from Upwork. I called around the revenue departments and they couldn’t understand me as they don’t speak English. What should I do? Please advise me 🙏

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a Tax ID Number (TIN) in Thailand, it's advisable to visit your local tax office in person. If language is a barrier, consider bringing a Thai speaker with you or hiring a local tax accountant. Ensure you have all necessary documents, such as proof of residence and bank statements. Communication tools like Google Translate can also be helpful. The registration for a TIN is free of charge, and sharing the list of required documents after your visit would be beneficial for others.

Just make up a number. If it works for Risepay I'm sure it'll work for Upwork.
Please share what documents they required once you're done. I need to get my TIN too, and it would be nice to avoid return visits.

Go to your local tax office and take all documents required to proof residence in Thailand and take a copy of bank statements. Download google translate and use the conversation option to communicate. Not need to pay for tax ID registration. It’s free of charge.

Go to your local tax office personally, preferably with a Thai speaker if you are unable to do that you would need to get a local tax accountant to assist you.
