How can I receive my tax refund in Thailand without a Thai ID for PromptPay?

Tax refund

Hi all, I have just filed my taxes and it looks like I'm getting a small amount back. They require promptpay for this, but I can't link that to my Thai ID because I'm not Thai. How does this work?

I requested a cheque, the cheque that was sent was only able to be paid into krugthai account, I didn't have a account there so they opened one for me at branch no questions asked, easiest account I ever opened 10mins and done 😀

PromptPay is linked to your Thai mobile number. You need to set it up with your bank first, if not done so already.

 just set up on your thai bank app. And the thai numbers to natch what you have given them as your contact whilst filling your return in.
