TLDR : Answer Summary
The user has been informed that their visa application is pending approval and could be delayed indefinitely due to high volumes. Respondents suggest two main options: waiting for the decision or considering traveling on a visa-exempt basis to a nearby country to reapply. However, traveling while the original application is pending may risk the application. Users express concern and share personal experiences of delays.

2 options: 1) wait 2) come on visa exempt, go to a nearby country and apply again.

If you come visa exempt you do risk your original application as you should stay in the country you applied to until issued. Some people have had no issue doing that, others have been caught out.
