Can the embassy request additional documents multiple times during the visa application process?

When the embassy asks for further documents - is this one time request or can be multiple requests? 

I was asked to provide single document which I immediately added... does this mean that other documents were ok, just needed the missing one, or that I still could be asked for futher documents?

I got the request within 24 hours of submitting the initial application.

some consulates are getting wise to people applying and then going back to thailand, they will wait 4 days or so after you applied then email you for EVERY page of your passport including blank pages <- to see if you bailed out of their country or not 😮

Anonieme deelnemer It is not that rules change, from the beginning and as with all other visa everywhere in the world embassies can ask anything they want to decide if your application is genuine. They did not make a secret of that before you paid.
