I finally submitted my e-visa, but it would not let me make a payment and then lost all the information again. WTF

There is no requirement that the funds come from abroad when you top up the account to the correct balance

I apologize for not making clear that funds for retirement extensions based on banked money method have no requirement that they come from abroad.

I said once he meets the 3 months post extension seasoning requirement he could move 400k of the money (keeping 400k in the account used for the extension) until he needed to get the balance back to 800k at least 2 months before his next extension

police order. A minimum of 800,000 THB must be back in your account 2 months prior to applying for the next 1-year extension of the stay permit based on retirement (you do not have any "visa")

Another thing to be careful off is any bank charges, last week i got an charge for by debit card, so if you leave 400,000 exactly and get a charge you suddenly broke the requirements

800k needs to show in your bank 2 months before going for the 12 month extension and 3 months after. That is a 5 month window that it can't drop below 800k. The 7 months in between no less than 400k

Or show proof that you earn more than 65 000 bahts per month of retirement money in your thai bank account... this way you don't need 800 000 bahts in it.

I'm Canadian... our embassy does not provide such documents... 65k each month for one year on a bank statement is all I need.

for that the OP would need a 12-months bank statement over monthly transfers from abroad of a minimum of 65,000 THB, month for month not missing a single month. But you seem to be French, you can use the income affidavit from your embassy. The OP is a U.S. American and he cannot use the income affidavit because his embassy does not issue it anymore

you need to add you also need to show it come from outside of Thailand which at times can be painful

true... luckily, I have no such problem.

that explains why you have no issues. People who use transfer companies like WISE can sometimes not have their international deposit marked as deposit. Your are technically going through bank to bank no middle man

i just have my pensions directly tranferred in my bank account

that is good for you. There are many that do have issues. Even if you never have issues it is helpful to let people know there have been people who have had issues. May I ask how you transfer money into Thailand so I can look into it for myself to use

This is how the seasoning works on bank money method for yearly extension based on retirement.

You bank the 800k in a Thai bank account in your name only for 2 months before you apply for your yearly extension

The 800k needs to stay in the account for 3 months after your extension is granted

Then the balance can't go below 400k the rest of the year until you get it back to 800k 2 months before your next extension application.

thank you. So it would be OK to transfer money from the retirement account to another Thai bank account and then 3 months before renewal, transfer the money back to the retirement account

@David *******
as long as you don't let the balance in the primary account (the one you use for the extensions) go below 400K at all during the year, after you hit the 3 months post seasoning requirement you can move the money

be aware that B Bank may have different requirements, in order to give you the bank letter needed to get the next Extension of Stay. It's a good idea to confirm if your bank has any different requirements as well.
