What should I do if my Bangkok Bank account seems to have been canceled or frozen?

A few questions for those with DTV and Bangkok bank accounts

1. Do Bangkok bank notify you? Message? Email?

When we try to make any mobile banking transactions it now says "recipient invalid" (they were fine before), so we wonder if that means they have cancelled our account?

2. If we are cancelled, do we have to visit the branch where we setup the account?

Thanks for your help

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is experiencing issues with their Bangkok Bank account, receiving a 'recipient invalid' error during mobile banking transactions and wondering if their account has been canceled without notification. Comments suggest that if the account is frozen, they need to visit the branch where they set it up, as multiple users report similar experiences without prior notice.

No notice, they just do it.

They accepted Wise transfer in, the other week, go to pay bills today, can't do a thing. All rejected.

I'm not with DTV.

Student at University, but my BKK bank account did the same today. No notification.

I went to the bank.

They freeze it.

They ask me some papers, sent it to the main Branch and they will call me in a week to let me know if I can keep it and unfreeze or if I've to close it.

And yes you have to go to the branch you open it.

But that was quite obvious it will happen.

Good luck

Ok thanks all. Sounds like it's happened already then... or if not it's inevitable. I think we will just try and get the money out and leave the account in whatever state they want it to be. You never know they could change policy again.

What papers did they ask for?

I am not sure it will be useful for people under DTV.

As for me they took the letter from university saying that I'm at University. The payment receipt I did to the University. My condo contract, my student card, my Thai drivers license, proof of payment for condo rent and my Thai phone.

But all of this is because I'm not under DTV.

Go to the branch where you opened your account. It sounds like you have been frozen.
