What should I do if my 90-day online visa report is taking too long to process?

Anyone have any advice on submitting 90 days online? Every time I do it they take a VERY long time to respond to it and I end up having to go to Chaeng Wattana, which I do not want to do as it is terribly far and such a long wait.

I submitted my 90 days within the 15 days (14th day) and it has been pending for 3 days straight. Everyone else I know who submits their 90 days online gets a response within hours or less on the same day.

I called Immigration and they could not check for me. She gave me two phone numbers, one rings and rings and someone refuses the call after a few rings, and the other is "not connected yet" according to the information that I get when I call it.

Does ANYONE have a phone number I can call or is there ANY way I can find out what the hold up is on my 90 day application? I filled it out accurately and well within their period, it's just taking forever. I know 3 days is a short time, but as each day passes, it becomes later and later and causes me to make plans of going to to Chaeng Wattana.

Thank you.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A community member is experiencing delays with their online 90-day visa report submission in Thailand, causing them to consider an in-person visit to the Chaeng Wattana immigration office. They mention contacting immigration for assistance but received unhelpful responses. Comments suggest alternatives like mailing the application, trusting the online system after adjustments, or simply paying the late fee annually if repeated delays occur.

Last few years the online system has worked a treat. I get an email 15 days prior. I usually submit online that same day and the next day it's approved. Only if submitting on a Saturday has it taken until Monday morning to go through.

I never get emails. Only emails I get are after I submit my application. A friend of mine also gets emails. Maybe my email slipped through the cracks or something.

@Daniel ****
I can't remember how the emails started but I'm thankful they arrive. I can't check the reminder email to see if it mentions anything as I delete those ones after the approval one comes in and I save that email to my archives. This is on the bottom of the approval email if it helps.;

Yes I get that when I fill out the application. They send me a PDF of my application all filled out.

If it's a far trip and takes a long time, just ignore 90 day reports. The fine is 2000 baht whether you are 8 days late or 8 months late. Just pay 2000 baht every year when you go to do your extension and save yourself the frustration and 3-4 trips to Chaeng Watthana per year. Is your time and effort worth more than 2000 baht?

II just talked to my wife and if they don't approve me, she said she will take mine with her when she goes next month on the 2nd or something. My 90 days expires on April 2, so I do have plenty of time. Hoping they will approve me so I can put this behind me.

Another question. Do people cut their visa when they move back to their country? My visa is still good until October this year and was wondering if people just let it run out normally or do they cut it at immigration when they leave. Sorry, this is all new to me. I have been here 11 years and am moving back home for the first time since I arrived.

@Daniel ****
Visas cannot be cancelled. If you are talking about an extension, then it depends on the type.

If it's for work or for education, those are required to be cancelled before you leave. But retirement, tourism, marriage, etc don't have to do anything special. Can just leave and it will be cancelled when you leave or cancelled when it runs out if you have a re-entry permit.

Sorry, I should have stated what mine is. It's a non-O visa. I am on my Wife's non-B.

@Daniel ****
I've asked a few experts, and we believe that when your wife goes to immigration to cancel her work extension, you would also go to cancel your extension based on her working at the same time.

My wife said her school will cancel her visa for her.

@Daniel ****
as I told you, visas cannot be cancelled. But I doubt your wife is on a visa. She is likely on an extension.

The school cannot cancel her extension. They do not own her extension. Her extension is in HER passport and the only way to cancel the extension is with her passport and a letter from the employer stating the last day of work.

So when she goes to immigration to cancel her extension, you would also go and use the same paperwork as her to cancel yours in tandem.

Do it by mail! Send it in 15 days prior to due date. Never failed me in ten years

Not worth the risk, just go to the immigration office, I do not trust the on line thing ,but I have a car

@Colin ********
I don't know why people just don't do it by mail. Takes five minutes and 72 baht at your local post office

The only risk is a 2000B fine

@Graham *****
Isn't that per day until you get it squared away or is it 2000 baht for the entire time until I leave in May?
Graham ******
@Daniel ****
It'a a 2000B fine for late reporting, people on 12 month extensions often never do a 90 day report and just take the 2000B fine when they apply for their new extenmsion each year

Kind of makes me wonder if that is the reason Thailand has been more and more strict about reporting, because people don't report.

@Daniel ****
what’s there reason for reporting??

I report because I am a guest here and thankful for that opportunity. I have seen how they expel the Burmese for not having visa's and whatever else. I am American and I don't condone people crossing the border in my country and receiving free everything. That's on our government for doing that, but they should come in legally and go through the immigration process like every other country. A little off from my situation but it's valid as I don't want to be that type of person. I am guest here and thankful for that opportunity and want to obey Thai laws.

@Daniel ****
ok so it’s ok for people not reporting all year and just pay 2000baht fine when they get there extension ?and talking Burmese not exactly ex pats are they,my question is why ? What’s the reason for it ?

keep track of foreigners. Paranoia. I have no idea. All I know is that it is part of their law for foreigners. Also I personally don't want to pay 2000 baht.
Graham ******
@Daniel ****
have they?
Sue **********
According to the answer you gave that somehow their system doesn‘t update your residence address although you even have the correct tm30 slip from immigration (if I inderstood you correctly) this means you will have to continue showing up in person, unfortunately. A lot of my fellow expats experienced this as well. TiT

I think now if you want to do your 90 days online then you must submit it in the period from 14 days before the due date to 7 days before the due date. You've still plenty of time to here back though, you can submit in person from 14 days before the due date through until 7 days after the due date.

I did that already. I filed on Tuesday at 9am, which was 14 days from my expiration. It's still pending as of just ab out 30 minutes ago, which makes 3 days. I know there is plenty of time, but the longer I wait with this "pending" notification the more likely I will have to go in personally. Chaeng Wattana is very far and such a hassle. I am usually there for like 6 hours. It's quite exhausting living here.
Andy ************
@Daniel ****
Do it by mail! It's so easy. I don't know why people make such hard work of a 90-day report!
Graham ******
@Daniel ****
Does your online 90 day report report and your latest TM30 contain the same address?
Daniel *****
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Graham *****
Yes it does. Although, every single time we go to Chaeng Wattana they tell us that our address is in Laksong when it's supposed to be in Nong Khaem. My landlord went and fixed this issue and immigration gave him a paper that I have in my passport that shows we are in Nong Khaem. When we went to Chaeng Wattana last 90 days, it still said Laksong. I don't know what they are doing at immigration but this is on them. We changed it to the correct address and we have the evidence of it in a document, and we went for the 90 days and if they STILL haven't changed it on their end then I don't know what to do. Thankfully I am leaving Thailand for good in May.
Graham ******
@Daniel ****
If you're leaving why worry about your last 90 day report?
Daniel *****
ORIGINAL POSTER
@Graham *****
I know, but I worry that they will check everything the day I leave and ask why I didn't get the 90 days. It might be me just being a worrywort, but I just don't want to give them an excuse to charge me per day.
Graham ******
@Daniel ****
Nobody will check or care at the airport
