TLDR : Answer Summary
If you have lost your TM6 document, it may not necessarily be an issue when applying for your COVID extension, as experiences can vary by immigration office. Some users have reported that they were able to obtain a new TM6 by visiting the local police station to file a report and then bringing that report to the immigration office. Others shared that they were allowed to proceed with their extensions without the TM6. It is advisable to prepare a police report and consult with the immigration office where you will be submitting your application.

It’s six ten half a dozen because each immigration office operates differently.

Depends on the immigration office. You are best going to the local police station in the province of your immigration office and file a police report for the missing document. You will take the police report to the immigration office, and ask for a new TM6. The immigration office will give you a new TM6.

Yes you will. Expect to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism though.

yep, did the 30 day extension first, they didn’t care about the TM6, when I got my 60 day Covid extension they did something (?!) in the computer and wrote down my TM6 number for me (I didn’t get a new card or anything)
