Hi, what’s the solution for a lost TM6 card. We are being asked for it for a visa process. Hua Hin.

Thanks in advance

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you've lost your TM6 card in Thailand, here's a comprehensive guide on what to do: First, you may need to inform immigration about the loss. Depending on the office, you might be required to obtain a police report stating that the TM6 card is lost. Many immigration offices, especially in Hua Hin, may ask you for this report before issuing a replacement. Without a police report, your chances of receiving a new TM6 card might be lower. Some travelers have successfully received a new card without the report, especially when traveling, so it's worth checking with the immigration officials directly. Always best to carry a photocopy of your TM6 card when traveling to mitigate issues in case it gets lost.

When I travel in out always photo copy it. Never had prob when once lost orignal.

Copy needed for extending a 30 day Tourist visa.

how come they don't staple it in your passport anymore - want you to loose it ?

with 36 MILLION tourists comin' to thailand every year the government contract to supply staples has got to be a LOT of Baht ;)

Depends on the immigration officer. Some staple it, some don't. I recommend that people ask the hotel desk to staple it in if the immigration officer didn't.

It's a toss up on whether the immigration office will make you get a police report to give you a new TM.6 card or not. I'd say IF you're not going to need to go to the immigration office just tell them at the airport you lost it. BUT if you are going to go to the immigration office (for an extension) it doesn't hurt to have a police report stating you lost the other card. Police reports are free (if you don't take shit of the officers and hammer them for one :O ) .

A month ago, I met a swiss lady at the immigrating office who lost her TM6 departure card. Long story cuts short, the immigration officer told her to go to the police station to report lost document. Then, she has to bring a copy of a police report to the immigration office (either down town/international airport) to get an " Immigration records" paper (this shows records of arr-dep dates, vassels, flt # and TM6 numbers). This immigration records document will replace the lost TM6 departure card when applying for a visa. I hope this helps.

Apologize, wai, and beg for a replacement. There really isn't anything else you can do.

It’s for a visa process not just to leave 🙂

Some immigration office will just give you a new one, most of them will require you to obtain a police certificate of a lost document.

Go to the nearest police station and ask for a lost document certificate.
