TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster lost their TM6 form upon arriving in Thailand and is unsure if they need it to extend their visa. The community advises that a police report for the lost document is likely necessary to obtain a replacement or to proceed with the visa extension. However, there are mixed opinions, and some shared experiences indicate that if one's details are already in the immigration system, it could simplify the process.

Sounds like you are in the system, you can loose your passport and travel without it. You need to file a police record. Case closed, sorry.

Just a thank you and an update; I just returned from the police station who told me it was not necessary to file a police report as immigration already has me in the system.

Has anyone else ever experienced this? Do I need a police report to get a new one at immigration? Or can I just pick it up and fill it out?

@Craig ******
if you want to apply extension at immigration office, yes you need police report to get process done there.

If you just leave the country, you can get new one at passport control when you leave without police report.

yes mate. I have replaced a tm6 with immigration in sakon nakhon. A police report was required. If you just grab a new form and fill it out the form number will be different to the one recorded on your entry to thailand. This will show on their computer. The report is very simple to make and the cops just fill in one form and give you your copy. Longest thing I waited for was my local bib phoning immigration to find out what they had to do. Lol

You'll need a police report before immigration would give you a new one, which is what Robert Lagas and Andy Jennings said two hours ago.

Just go to immigration at airport and get a replacement

I don't think you can get a new one at the airport without crossing out through immigration. You'd have to file a police report and get a new one at immigration.

i agree with
@An**
, get a police report for lost document and get a new one at Immigration.
Andy **********
I think so yes. Admin will confirm I'm sure. If they say yes you need to make a police report for lost documents and present the copy you're given to immigration at time of extension.

Forgot to add they will issue you a replacement tm6, blank, but with the Same form number as your previous tm6
