I will be out of country when my next 90 day report-in is due (which I normally do online). Do I:

A. continue as normal and report in online prior to the due date whilst out of country.

B. treat it as a reset and report in within 90 days of my re-entry to Thailand.

If it's the latter can I report in online or does it require a visit to the local immigration office (Chonburi)?

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you are out of Thailand when your 90-day reporting is due, you do not need to report. Your next 90-day reporting will be due 89 days after your re-entry. The online system may work, but it is recommended to attempt a submission two weeks before the due date. If rejected, you can report in person at the local immigration office.

you misunderstand how the 90 day reporting works ๐Ÿ˜•

You ONLY report if you're IN the country when the 90 day report is due

SO if you're going to be out of the country on/by that date, you don't report.

When you re-enter the country your NEXT 90 day report is due 89 days from the date you stamp back in.

Now whether the online system will work for you or not when that next report is due you will have to try and see. You can apply online up to 2 weeks before the due date, so apply early and if it's rejected you have plenty of time to go in person and file
