i just finished a contract and my non b (i've been living here on non B for years)is expiring on the 30th, i want to come back on a tourist visa for a while, take it easy and enjoy thailand before i start a new job. Im thinking about going to Vientiane soon and apply for a tourist visa there, what do i need to know, and how long would it take?

If you are on an extension of stay then that extension finished with your contract, you should have cancelled both your work permit and the extension on your last day of work and left the country.

If you are on an actual visa (check your passport) you can stay until the visa expires
