I was asking questions in this group because I was nervous about leaving and re-entering Thailand close to my 180-day mark. I also have pets that I brought over from Australia, so naturally I was a bit anxious.
Like a lot of people here, I got the usual laugh reacts and fear-mongering replies, but I also got some genuinely helpful and realistic responses too.
Anyway, I left Bangkok, spent a day in Singapore, hung around the airport, and flew back to Bangkok the same day.
At immigration, I waited in line, got to the counter, handed over my passport, and the officer immediately told me to do my fingerprints. That was basically it.
No interrogation. No requests for my TDAC. No demand for my entire life story like some posts here would have you believe. No work documents. No company paperwork.
The only thing she asked was, very politely, “Can I see your visa?” I handed it over from my folder of documents that I’d carefully prepared after this group convinced me I’d need every document known to mankind.
And no, you don’t need a laminated pocket-sized visa card. That’s doing way too much.
For what it’s worth, I did see two guys getting questioned at another counter, but I have no idea what their situation was.
Just sharing my experience for anyone who’s stressing themselves out like I was. Happy to answer any questions.
