I just went to get a 60 day covid extension and they told me to come back in 2 weeks. I paid the 1,900 baht for the extension. Just wondering if anyone knows if they will try and charge me again? Apologies if this has been covered.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user inquired about the two-step process for obtaining a 60-day COVID visa extension in Thailand, mentioning they had already paid 1,900 baht and were instructed to return in two weeks. Community members clarified that upon payment, the user should have received a receipt and an 'application for extension under consideration' stamp in their passport, indicating they should not be charged again when they return with the necessary documentation.

Do you have a receipt for the latest 1900 baht?

I think if you look in your passport you will see you have a stamp that says "application for extension under consideration" and then has the date you're supposed to return.

Getting a covid extension at MOST immigration offices is a two step process, you apply, pay the 1900 baht and get an under consideration stamp, then when that date comes up you go back with your passport and that blue/green receipt paper showing you paid and they will put the covid extension into your passport

Thanks Tod. Good to know. With the current outbreaks you’d think they’d want to limit people travelling to their offices. I’m sure they have their reasons.

@Daniel ******
no you can not. You will have to get a 30 day extension of stay based on tourism, and then, if they are still selling them, a 60 day extension of stay based on unable to travel due to COVID-19
