How far in advance should I apply for a Multi-Entry Tourist Visa (METV) at the Thai Embassy in London?

To ensure you get the METV, provide evidence for a flight to a regional destination within the initial 60 days and a return flight to Thailand sometime after that. You are under no obligation to use those tickets once the visa is approved.

sorry deleted my comment, didn't see that you mentioned METV and you're right you need to get that as close as you can to when you're comin' here so you can max out the time on it

Check the UK Thai Embassy website...

They ask for 15 Business Days for the approval of visas.

In recent weeks we have seen reports of Visa approvals within a week.

Be sure you have met the requirements for the METV multiple entry tourist visa on the Evisa online application system.

And that you show both original departure from your home country UK and a flight ✈️ departing Thailand within the First 60 days of your approved arrival stamp.
