DTV Ho Chi Minh – Full Family Timeline + Approved Dependents 🇹🇭
Sharing our full DTV timeline from the Royal Thai Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, in case it helps anyone currently applying there.
We are a family of four: myself, my wife, and two young children (ages 2 and 4).
I was advised to apply for my DTV first and only submit the dependent applications after my own DTV was approved.
My DTV timeline:
9 August: Submitted my DTV application.
10 August: Processing officially started.
21 August: Received the first request for additional documents. I uploaded everything requested the same day.
26 August: Received another request for additional documents. Some of the documents had already been provided previously. They specifically asked again for my bank statement with the relevant income highlighted. Everything was uploaded again the same day.
27 August, around 12:30 PM: Status changed to Pending Approval.
27 August: My DTV was APPROVED. 🎉
Immediately after my approval, I submitted separate DTV dependent applications for my wife and our two children.
Dependent applications timeline:
27 August afternoon: Submitted and paid for all three dependent applications: my wife and our two children, ages 4 and 2.
All three initially showed Pending Document Check.
28 August to 3 September: All three remained on Pending Document Check.
There was also a public holiday on 2 September, so this was not counted as a working day.
4 September, around 3:20 PM: All three applications changed almost together from Pending Document Check to Pending Approval.
4 September, around 6:50 PM: All three were APPROVED! 🎉🇹🇭
5 September: We arrived in Bangkok together as a family. All four of us received a 180-day entry stamp with no questions asked at immigration. 🇹🇭
A big thank you to everyone in this group for all the information, advice and support throughout the process, and especially to Andi Traveller for all the help. 🙏
